To support its high-traffic, round-the-clock operation, the facility required a flooring solution capable of withstanding constant footfall and the movement of heavy goods such as trolleys, carts, and small vehicles in external areas.
Safety was a key priority, with an anti-slip surface needed in areas exposed to moisture and dirt. The flooring also had to be easy to clean and maintain in an environment that operates continuously. Internally, reducing noise was important, particularly in corridors and multi-level areas where foot traffic and wheeled equipment are frequent.
130m² of Hobnail tiles in Anthracite were installed. The tiles provide a durable, cobbled-textured surface designed for strong slip resistance. Their robust construction allows them to withstand constant use from foot traffic as well as the movement of heavy loads such as trolleys, carts, and small vehicles, particularly in the external container zones.
Installation was completed by Waddington Flooring, a family-run business with over 50 years of experience in large commercial projects.
