Located in North Yorkshire, Bedale High School has recently completed a major refurbishment as part of its wider improvement strategy. Committed to raising academic achievement and establishing itself among the highest-performing schools in the country, the school is investing significantly in its learning environment to better reflect these high standards.
As part of the project, the existing flooring was replaced to bring the interiors in line with the school’s modernisation goals. The previous surfaces had become worn and outdated, making them unsuitable for a high-traffic school environment.
A combination of carpet tiles from the Array and Broadrib ranges was installed throughout the site in bold purple and blue tones. Designed for durability in high-traffic areas, the flooring provides a hard-wearing, low-maintenance solution.
Installation was carried out by Excel Flooring during the school holidays, allowing the work to be completed efficiently without disrupting day-to-day operations. The colour scheme was aligned with the school’s corridor graphics, which feature influential figures and motivational messaging, creating a more focused and purposeful environment for students.

The result is a cleaner, more modern school interior that reflects Bedale High School’s ambitions. As part of its ongoing development programme, the refurbishment supports the creation of a disciplined, high-quality setting built around performance and progress.
