- Trinity Sixth Form Academy is a state of the art sixth form centre developed from converting the former 1970s Central Library building at Northgate in Halifax.
- Overall, the new site provides a dedicated learning centre for up to 600 16 to 18-year-olds in the local area, all managed by the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust.
- The £9.5m project, which was completed in just 18 months, was a partnership between Calderdale Council, Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, Rastrick High School, LDN Architects, Blacc Ltd and a range of local contractors.
- The centre forms part of a larger development, which will include 40,000 square foot of offices and retail spaces, opening in Spring 2021. It also falls under Calderdale Council’s “Vision2024” programme which aims to transform the borough through major capital projects.
- For the project, Heckmondwike supplied over 1,500 square metres of Supacord carpet tiles, with the modern Steel Grey being the primary colour specified. Alongside this, there was a selection of Supacord Flint carpet tiles, which included acoustic backing.
- All of the company’s products were installed by local flooring contractor, Paynters Contract Flooring.
